University Communications provides video production services in support of the following institutional priorities:
Undergraduate Recruitment. This includes campus-wide promotional videos and targeted recruiting content. The audience is prospective students.
Signature University Events. This includes Commencement, Convocation, and events of broad institutional importance. The audience is current students.
Public Relations and Constituent Engagement. This includes news stories, social media content, presidential messaging, etc. The audience is the external UConn community.
University Communications cannot accommodate the following requests due to limited resources or lack of in-house expertise:
Promotional videos on behalf of units, organizations or individuals.
Award or testimonial videos.
Teaching or training videos.
Videos that University Communications are unable to produce can be outsourced through contracted vendors and must be funded entirely by the requesting unit. In the case of outsourcing, University Communications can provide the following services:
Consultation. This includes guidance in the vendor selection process and supplying creative feedback.
Brand Standards. This includes working with the vendor to ensure the work adheres to university standards and quality controls.
Video production vendors that are on-contract have been vetted by the university and are in the billing system. These include:
